my racing story

On my 11th birthday, my parents gifted me a Formula 1 game for the PlayStation. My friend and I started playing it together, and we enjoyed it so much that we soon took up karting lessons. What began as a hobby quickly escalated, and before long, we found ourselves racing for a local team. Initially, it was all just for fun, but we soon began competing in actual races. In 2018, I completed my first full season in the cadet class, and by the end of the year, we even entered a few junior class races. Things went well, and we loved every moment of it.

In 2019, we took racing more seriously. We realized I had the talent and potential to pursue it further. That year, I qualified for the IAME World Championship in Le Mans!

Due to my height and weight, I had to move to the senior class earlier than expected, at just 14 years old. This presented a tough challenge, as I was competing against older, more experienced drivers, making it difficult to secure front-line finishes.

In 2021, I raced in the Dutch National Championship (NK) for both the European Karting (EK) and Benelux series, and I was proud to become the Dutch Champion! The plan for 2022 was to continue in EK and Benelux, but for various reasons, I decided to step away from racing midway through the season.

By the end of 2023, though, I found myself missing racing—it felt like my true calling. So I returned to the track, this time driving in different championships with manual karts.

And now, my next chapter begins: the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. Follow my journey as I take on this exciting new challenge!
